The 2016 Census is here!

Completed questionnaires will provide valuable information that will be used by all levels of government to make decisions about your community. CAD-ASC strongly encourages each of you to list your first preferred language as American Sign Language (ASL) and langue des signes québecoise (LSQ) on the “Other” section.

Information obtained through the census is needed to plan services in ASL and LSQ such as child-care, schooling, family services, housing, public transportation and skills training for employment. Every person, young and old, must be included in the 2016 Census.

It is important to complete your census questionnaire. You can do it online at www.census.gc.ca. Simply enter your 16-digit secure access code and follow the instructions. If you received a letter, your secure access code is located at the top of the page. If you received a paper questionnaire, your secure access code is located at the top right corner of the first page.
