Canadian Human Rights Complaint Information … Made Accessible!

March 10, 2013

The Canadian Human Rights Commission (CHRC) has contracted with the Canadian Association of the Deaf to prepare fully accessible versions of its guidebook explaining the process of filing a human rights complaint.

The CAD will be producing video versions of the information in ASL, LSQ, English captions, French captions, English voiceover, and French voiceover.

In addition, a print version will be created that uses “Simple Language” English and French to make the information accessible for people who have intellectual, literacy, or learning disabilities.

Filming of the video was completed in February 2013. The final product is expected to be available for distribution in April or May. It will be available on the CAD website or through a link to the CHRC website.
