VRS Awareness Day

Canadian Association of the Deaf – Association des Sourds du Canada (CAD-ASC) in the partnership with BCVRS Committee are organizing a national event: VRS Awareness Day on Friday September 21, 2012 from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. in each province, which will show the Canadian Radio-television and Telecommunications Commission (CRTC) and Industry Canada that we are promoting and emphasizing the immediate need for a final decision of YES from the CRTC for VRS in Canada. We will also express our gratitude for all the past accomplishments and accommodations from them, such as Closed Captioning (CC), TTY, 9-1-1 TTY Services, and IP Text Relay.
