VRS Survey Questionnaire

May 3, 2013

ASL Video The Canadian Association of the Deaf – Association des Sourds du Canada (CAD-ASC) strongly demands a national Video Relay Services (VRS) that includes official spoken languages (English and French) and official signed languages (American Sign Language (ASL) and Langue des Signes Québécoise (LSQ)).

On March 27, 2013, the Canadian Radio-television and Telecommunications Commission (the CRTC) announced “Telecom Notice of Consultation CRTC 2013-155” on issues related to the feasibility of establishing VRS, to initiate a proceeding scheduled on October 21, 2013 in Gatineau, Quebec.

Purpose of the Survey

This online survey has been created to gather your input and strengthen our argument at the CRTC public proceeding that VRS must be implemented as a basic human right.

Your participation is highly valued. The online survey must be completed no later than Tuesday May 14, 2013. The online survey is available in both English and French, and will only require about 15 minutes of your time.

Please answer the questions to the best of your ability.
